Personal data collection and usage:

VeSuS.org collect your personal data only when you register for a user account or make a subscription for play in a tournament, in other cases, the site can be visited in a completely anonymous. Making a registration users will see at the end of the page the box relating to the Privacy Policy, clicking on which will be able to see this document in order to examine it and choose to give consent to the data processing. Registration is possible only giving the consent. VeSuS.org use, for the purpose of user registration, required fields and optional fields. The data included in the required fields are strictly necessary for the provision of services, while the optional fields are useful for the improvement of services, to meet in the best way the needs of users, communicating information about any updates and providing the necessary support.

 

What we collect:

In case of user registration:

We collect the following informations, any other information is optional and the user who register can choose to provide or not.

  • Name and Surname
  • Country of residence
  • Email address
  • IP address

VeSuS.org manages and responds directly of the personal data of users who register on the site itself, without give them to others.

In case of registration for a tournament:

  • Email address
  • IP address

The email address is strictly necessary for the registration. Immediately after requesting the registration, the player will receive in the email box he indicated when registering an email containing an activation link. The player must then click this link to confirm his registration, only at that point VeSuS.org will consider the player registered and will publish his name in the lists of the tournament; communicating as well the his name and email address to the user who has entered the tournament, identified by VeSuS.org as the owner of the tournament.
VeSuS.org reserve the right to use such email addresses to send one-time communications to the players, even for commercial purposes; such communications will always be managed only from VeSuS.org following the directions described in the paragraph "Methods and aims of data processing".
The IP address of the registering player will be recorded as well for security reasons. VeSuS.org manages the collection of the player’s contacts; in the case the player insert spontaneously and optionally his phone number when registering it will be communicated to the owner of the tournament, in order to enable a better service in a strict relation to the tournament services providing.
The player who register for a tournament by VeSuS.org always grants the owner of the tournament the permission to publish his name and data on the registered players list as well as on the tournament results.

If a player wish to register without being listed in Italy and/or FIDE rating lists VeSuS.org will collect only the information necessary to the arbiter of the tournament for manage the player in the pairing software: Name; birthdate, gender and province (Rating and National ID are also required for NON Italian player who are not in the FIDE rating list); other data eventually available are optional. The same data will be needed to insert the player in the Rating lists, so these data are collected for this specific purpose only. By entering this information the player authorize VeSuS.org to collect, publicate on-line and transmit to the "owner of the tournament" his data.

 

Responsibilities of the “owner of the tournament”:

The term "owner of the tournament" identifies the user who enter a tournament in VeSuS.org allowing the on-line registrations and data collection.

Entering a tournament the owner of the tournament grants VeSuS.org the right to collect all the data of the tournament on its database and to publish the tournament on the website itself making it available for the online consultation.
The owner of the tournament is the solely responsible for all the data published and shown by VeSuS.org in relation to the tournament he entered. VeSuS.org does not assume the responsibility of the personal data of any players that are shown in a given tournament, and for that reason it is recommended that the owner of the tournament always get permissions from the players to publish the tournament data on VeSuS.org.

 

Sources of the players data:

VeSuS.org provide search features that display data of the players. These data are not owned by VeSuS.org but always come from database open to the public and available for download by anyone using the Internet. For this reason VeSuS.org is not responsible for the confidentiality, truthfulness and correctness of the players data showed, that come from the following sources:

 

Methods and aims of data processing:

VeSuS.org collects personal data provided by visitors as above specified, their treatment is exclusively electronic. VeSuS.org use the information provided to perform the services offered by the website itself.

Sharing and disclosure of personal data: Information collected in the manner described above, and which permit the identification of users, are not subject to disclosure. Could be transmitted to third parties, only and exclusively when VeSuS.org: had the consent to share data with third parties; need to transfer the information to companies who work on its behalf to provide certain services (these companies will not have any right to use the personal information provided more than is strictly necessary to carry out their service), must comply with a request by judicial or other competent authority; believes that a user has violated the guidelines for the use of this website.
